  1. Leaving Tracks in the Snow

    in the rosebud snows,
    in the mountains…
I’ve never lost sight of you,
my heart has always been attached to yours…
still I see you leaving tracks in the snow,
as you go rushing by me…
as you go pushing thru the crowds…
back to the painted windows…and empty rooms,
like leaves from the fallen trees…
    the river comes cutting thru…ooh
an’ I see you leaving tracks in the snow,
leaving a message for us below…ooh
    slip into the mirror,
just an image from behind the glass,
so it glows softly into the darkness…
empty trees come from the king
leaving a burn mark on the ground,
    black skies and dotted lines…
    this time has vanished…into space…
    silence has replace our voices,
    I once sang to you,
    you once played for me…
    but now all there is…
    is silence…
    draped in velvet curtains…
    I close down the light,
beggin’ for it to be real…
    let the sunrise again…
    over the rosebud mountains…
let me find those tracks of time…
    like the spider’s web…
silver and linked to the past,
    ooh…black skies…and images on the glass…
    I slip into the mirror…
    behind another mask…
I follow your tracks in the snow…ooh
now I hear you whisper to me,
    the creeping voice of spirits,
    a little pill of hope
in the middle of the road,
    I reach for it…

(here is Hope for a cure)
